Annapurna Circuit - Full Trek

21 Days | Trek: 16 Days | Lodge or Camp | Maximum altitude: 5410m | Minimum: 1 Person

The Annapurna Circuit trek is a classic journey that takes you past a wide range of spectacular mountain scenery to cross the challenging but beautiful 5410m Thorung La pass. The whole circuit is 300km. The route follows the Marsyangdi Valley to Manang, climbs the high Thorung La and then descends into the dramatic Kali Gandaki Valley.

We will also visit Muktinath temple, a popular shrine for Hindus but certainly interesting for all. The trek then goes down to famous town of Jomsom (those who do not have time for full circuit trek can fly from here, see Annapurna Circuit trek - flying out of Jomsom). We will then continue our trek through beautiful low-lying villages towards Nayapul. From Nayapul, it is just over an hour drive to Pokhara.

The real appeal of this trek lies in its variety. The trail starts in verdant rice padies and climbs through the deep gorges of the Marsyangdi, before swinging west into the arid Manang region, with its awesome views of the north side of the Annapurnas. The culcutral mic takes in Gurung, Manangi and stone-walled villages, Tibetan-style monasteries and unsettling animist totems.

The best seasons are spring (Mar to May) and autumn (Oct to Nov) but they also attract a large number of trekkers from many countries. If you want to avoid busy season then you might want to trek in other months.

It is monsoon during July/August with late rain often affecting September too. Flights to Pokhara are normally not affected. Insect repellent is a must for trek during monsoon (leeches are nuisance). This is one trek that can be enjoyed thorughout the year.

We run a number of treks every year that you can join. Do not worry even if you do not find these dates suitable to you. We let small groups and even single trekkers to pick their own dates.
